Hey, ladies!! We hope everyone had both a fabulous and indulgent holiday, just as we most definitely did! But, as the new year is upon us, it’s finally time to buckle down and get back in a better routine. Probably 99% of people’s new year’s resolutions have to do with weight-loss and getting in better shape (we’re right there with yah after one too many oatmeal carmelitas), so we’ve decided to share our go-to green smoothie recipe! This recipe actually derived from Jessica Alba’s book, The Honest Life, but has been altered to our liking over time. This green smoothie is actually responsible for me losing a big chunk of that pesky college weight years ago, and we could not recommend it more. No need to do a full-out cleanse and become a crazy person (trust me, we tried one of those as well and you do become CRAZY), but just replace a few meals here and there with it.

Green Smoothie Recipe
1 whole cucumber, peeled and chopped
2 handfuls of spinach or kale
2 celery sticks, chopped
2 lemons, juiced
2 apples (we love to use Granny Smith), cored and seeded
1-2 cups water or coconut water (depending on preferred consistency)
2 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
*Blend all ingredients well, and refrigerate what you don’t drink! Makes about 2 servings.
